Per Anders, a Berlin based German rock band performed at the Goethe-Institut auditorium on Monday evening. The auditorium packed with music-lovers from different background and profession enjoyed the music with dance and rounds of applause. This was the first ever visit of the band in Bangladesh which was made possible at the invitation of the German Embassy in Dhaka and Goethe-Institut Bangladesh.
The band was established back in 2010 and since then has achieved immense popularity among German young people with their trance like voodoo jams. They mainly represent a fusion of psychedelic iniderock and folk genre. They also write and compose all of their songs. The lead vocal Jörg Holdinghausen is a multi-Instrumentalist talented musician accompanied by guitarist Alex Binder and Hanno Stick on drums.
During the concert, Alex on the guitar was playing a mix of sounds with many effects and Hanno on the drum, trained in jazz fusion kept the audience mesmerized throughout the concert. In the end, the audience had the chance to interact with the band members.
While expressing his feelings in words, Jörg noted that, in Germany it can get very cold in the winter, and his song writing shows the feeling of melancholy coming and then he relates that to the inspiring future which is full of surprises. To describe the feelings of visit to Bangladesh, Jörg’s greatest findings were the ways of life and love for music of Bangladeshi people. Alex was also very happy to get into close interaction with Bangladeshi youth. The band looks forward to compose music and highlight their experience in Bangladesh.
