Man held with arms, ammo in C’nawabganj

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-5 arrested an alleged illegal arms trader with two foreign made pistols, a shooter gun, two magazines and three rounds of bullet from Bargachi village under Bholahat upazila in Chapainawabganj district on Tuesday afternoon.

The arrested person was identified as Md. Ashiq, 22, son of Md. Aiful of Bargachi (Paschim Para) village under Bholahat upazila of the district.
RAB said, acting on secret information, an operation team of RAB from Chapainawabganj camp raided the area at around 4-15 pm and arrested Ashiq with the arms and ammunition.
Later he was handed over to the police of Bholahat thana with a case.
