4 warehouses, slum houses gutted

GAZIPUR: Four warehouses of jhut (garment scraps), a mini garments factory, some slum houses and shops were gutted as a fire broke out at Bank Field area in Tongi of the city early Tuesday, reports BSS
Fire service sources said the fire broke out from an auto rickshaw garage of the area at about 3 am and soon engulfed the adjacent area.
Being informed, six firefighting units from Uttara and Tongi rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze after two hours of efforts.
