Five brickfields fined Tk 5.40 lakh in Barisal

BARISAL: Five brick clines were fined Taka 5.40 lakh on charges of polluting the environment and for running the brick fields without license at Bakerganj upazila of the district on Monday, a press release said on Tuesday, reports BSS
Executive magistrates Mahamuda Akhter and M Rejaul Karim with the assistance of the Department of Environment (DoE) conducted a mobile court at Kalaskathi area of the upazila and fined the brick clines for their activities violating existing laws.
