9 members of fake currency gang held

Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police on Tuesday arrested nine members of a fake currency gang from the capital.

They were identified as Md Jamal, Md Marfot Hossain, Md Ziaul Kabir Shahin, Md Rubel, Md Md Afzal, Md Sujon Miah, Md Shahin Miah, Md Imran, Md Khorshed Alam.
Masudur Rahman, Deputy Police Commissioner of DMP said getting secret information, a team of DB (West), raided Sarulia area under Demra Police Station in the capital
Police also seized Tk 10 lakh and 70 thousand fake notes and fake currency making machine from their possession.
During the primary interrogation, they admitted that they were involved in manufacturing and distributing fake currencies for long times.
A case was filed and they were handed over to the local police station.
