89 arrested in Jessore

Benapole: Police in a special drive from Friday night to Saturday night arrested 89 people from different areas in the district on various charges, reports UNB. Police said they launched a drive in nine upazilas of the district and 25 from Sadar upazila, 15 from Manirampur, 11 from Sharsha, 13 from Benapole, three from Chowgachha, nine from Jhikargachha, six from Keshabpur and seven from Bagharpara upazilas. The law enforcers also recovered two one-shooter guns, heroin and some bullets from their possession.
