Bangladesh ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan leaves for Australia yesterday evening to join the preliminary squad for the preparation camp ahead of their upcoming tour of New Zealand scheduled to begin from December 26, reports BSS.
Shakib, the captain of champions Dhaka Dynamites in the just concluded Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T20, had asked the Bangladesh Cricket Board for an extended period of leave after the completion of BPL.
Earlier, the first batch of national team including Test skipper Mushfiqur Rahim and a number of others who were done with their BPL commitments, left here on Thursday.
The second batch comprising ODI and T20I skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Tamim Iqbal, Mahmudullah Riyad and others left for Australia on Saturday.
