Bangabandhu Memorial Trust meeting held
A meeting of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Memorial Trust was held at Bangabandhu Memorial Museum in Dhanmondi in the capital on Saturday evening.
Chairperson of the trust and Bangabandhu’s eldest daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presided over the meeting. The agenda of the meeting were reading and approval of working papers of its previous meetings, reviewing the activities of the trust and placing of the sub-committee reports.
Discussion on Liberation War held
Aiming to inform the young generation about the glorious liberation war of 1971, a group of Bangladeshi expatriates in Japan had recently arranged a discussion in Tokyo marking the victory month of December.
Organised by a group of youth joining together under the banner of Bangbandhu Gold Cup Cricket Tournament Committee, two freedom fighters took part in the programme. Speaking on the occasion, the freedom fighters shared their memories and struggles of the battle field. Motaleb Shah Ayub, son of Badsha Miah, one of the associates of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, also spoke on the occasion.
