Lalmonirhat: Though three Hindu temples were vandalised and desecrated in Kaliganj upazila over the last twelve months, no legal step has been taken in connection with those incidents, reports UNB.
The latest of such incidents took place on Tuesday night when miscreants desecrated the idols of Swashan Kali Temple at Shialkhawa Masterpara in Cholbola union parishad and set fire on it.
Sazzad Hossain, officer-in-charge of Kaliganj Police Station, said the temple committee has submitted a complaint.However, police is yet to file a case and no one is arrested till now in this connection.Ashish Kumar, a member of temple committee, said unidentified miscreants vandalised three idols inside the temple and set fire on the temples premises.
