Freedom fighter dies

Ziauddin Ahmed, a freedom fighter and elder brother of famous artist Shahabuddin Ahmed, died of cardiac arrest yesterday afternoon. He was 69, reports UNB.  Ziauddin breathed his last at Savar Enam Medical College and Hospital around 3pm. He left behind his wife, two sons and a host of relatives and well wishers to mourn his death. Ziauddin was the commander of Raipura unit of Narsingdi district of ‘Mujib Bahini’ during the liberation war in 1971.
