Cooperative leader arrested

The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has arrested the leader of a cooperative from Noakhali in a graft case, reports UNB. ACC Deputy Director of Noakhali district office Talebur Rahman arrested former president of Chatkhil Upazila Central Cooperatives Limited Ahmad Hossain from Chatkhil on Wednesday night for allegedly misappropriating cooperatives’ money, ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya said. On October 13, 2016, the ACC filed a case against him and others with Chatkhail Police Station for allegedly swindling Tk 59 lakh preparing fake documents.
