Sathkhira: Police in separate drives arrested 46 people, including two activists of Jamaat-e-Islami, and recovered illegal drugs- phensidyl and Yaba tablets -from seven upazilas of the district during the last 15 hours, reports BSS. Police said, during the drives, Satkhira Sadar police arrested 20 people including two activists of Jamaat-e-Islam, Kalaroa police five, Tala police two, Kaliganj police 11 along with 18 pieces of Yaba tablets and 100 bottles of Phensidyl, Shyamnagar police three, Assasuni police three, Debhata police one and Patkelghata police one. Several cases, including charges of subversive activities, are pending with different police stations against the arrested persons. The arrested were sent to jail this morning.
