Dhaka Dynamites all-rounder Nasir Hossain said that the team, who will do less number of mistakes, will have the possibility of becoming the new champions of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) today.
“There is no words of stronger side in T20 on papers. Both have to perform well in the ground to do better. That’s important,” said Nasir Hossain, who scored so far 190 runs from 13 matches in BPL-4.
“Rajshahi is not a bad team. They have come here at this level by playing better cricket. Those team, who will make less number of mistakes they will have the possibility of becoming champions,” Hossain told reporters at the BCB-National Cricket Academy (NCA) yesterday.
In group phase, Dhaka Dynamites were thrashed by Rajshahi Kings. This time it will be a different game. Nasir said that both the teams will try to seek to do better in both department to bring the result in favour of them.
“The final of the BPL is of course a biggest match,” the 25-year-old all-rounder said.
“There will have pressure not only on us but also on them. We lost to them on both occasions.  That means we will stay under pressure but I don’t think such,” he also said.
The spin all-rounder said that they have worked on those areas if
we could implement it in the field then they could do fare well in the BPL-4 final.
“We are working on those areas, where we should actually focus on before going into the final, if we all could execute in the field, then we will be champions, Inshallah,” the right-hander said.
He said that they want to play the final as team game though they have good number of batting and bowling all-rounders in the side.
“Our team is all-rounder basis. We have a plus point that we have so many all-rounders. We have a good number of bowling options,” Rangpur-born lad said.
“We have 11 players that our key players. We have no player in the team who can’t win the match single-handedly. Everybody has to contribute a bit to win the match,” he said, adding  “ And so I could not get chance to bowl more. The way I bat throughout the tournament I should have done better but I could do better. I think I could not bat better.”
“We have so many match-winning players like Sammy. We could not think much about it.”
When asked about supporters of Dhaka Dynamites, Nasir said that there will have negative and positive sides if huge number of supporters are in the ground.
“There will have more supporters for us. Along with that, we will have more pressure on us also. It has both negative and positive sides,” he said.
On the other hand, Dhaka Dynamites team manager Khaled Mahmud Sujon said that they are thinking how they could play a team game in the final.
“Those, who are playing for us, could not play bad cricket they are also playing better cricket. We didn’t take any risk not to field Bravo in the last league phase match against Khulna Titans, who came here by playing better cricket also,” Khaled Mahmud said.
“We beat them emphatically. Now, we are not thinking much about our opponent side, who has come and what we had actually expected. We were ready for any team, who will come. Now we are thinking how we will play our better game in the final,” Sujon said.
