Pro-AL ‘Blue panel’ sweeps DUTA polls

Pro-Awami League teachers' platform known as ‘Blue Panel’ swept the Dhaka University Teachers' Association (DUTA) elections yesterday, reports UNB.
The Blue Panel candidates bagged all the posts of the 15-member executive committee.
Prof ASM Maksud Kamal and Prof Dr M Rahmat Ullah from the Blue Panel were elected as the president and the general secretary respectively.
Prof Maksud bagged 890 votes while Prof Rahmat Ullah 732 votes. Prof Shibli Rubayat ul Islam was elected as the vice president while Dr M Abdus Samad as treasurer and AJM Shafiul Alam Bhuiyan as joint secretary.
