Police arrested 117 people including Jamaat activists on different charges in Jhenidah and Satkhira districts yesterday.In Jhenidah, police in a special drive arrested 57 people from different parts of the district on various charges, reports UNB.Additional Superintendent of Police Azbahar Ali Sheikh said police conducted a drive in different places of the district from Monday night till Tuesday morning and arrested them on various charges.
In Satkhira, police, in special drives from Monday night to yesterday morning, arrested 60 persons, including two activists of Jamaat-e-Islami with 500-gram of ganja from seven upazilas of the district, reports BSS.
Sources with the district police said they were picked up from different areas of the district.
