Rly worker honoured for act of bravery

Railway Ministry and Bangladesh Railway yesterday honoured a rail worker for his brave rescue of a man from committing suicide by jumping on level crossing gate adjacent to the Chashara Railway Station at Narayanganj, reports BSS.
Billal Hossain Mazumder risked his life on November 21 this year by dragging Mohammad Mamun, a pedestrian, out of harm's way as a train approached, said a Railway Ministry press release in the capital.
Railway Minister Md Mujibul Haque called Billal a "hero" at a function in the city and rewarded him with Taka one lakh in cash and gifted Payjama, Panjabi, Tupi and Lungi.
