President Abdul Hamid yesterday underscored the need for including state-of-the-art curricula in NDC courses as the present world is getting more inter-dependent and complex, reports UNB.
"The present world is getting more inter-dependent and complex. It’s now more chaotic than ever. There’re so many areas of conflicts which are yet to be resolved for building a peace and balanced abode," he said.
The President said this while the participants of National Defence Course (NDC) -2016 and Armed Forces War Course (AFWC)-2016 meet him at Bangabhaban.
The pace of innovation and progress is rapid. Along with the development, terrorist activities and threat all over the world are also increasing, observed the President.
"Keeping that in mind, I hope, the NDC will incorporate state-of-the-art curricula, including counter-terrorism, strategic analytical approach and innovation, so that the members of NDC and AFWC can handle the matter successfully," he said.
The participants of NDC and AFWC have gathered proper knowledge on the latest developments which would make a huge differences and set example for others, hoped President Hamid and urged the graduates to serve the nation with dedication by using the earned knowledge and promote good governance and justice for all.
Pointing at 26 participants from 12 friendly countries, the President said, "During a year long stay in Bangladesh, I’m sure you’ve gained valuable experiences and understanding about our people and culture apart from professional knowledge. The traditional warmth hospitality that you’ve enjoyed during the course will remain everlasting in your mind."
“I hope our valued foreign participants will act as our goodwill ambassadors in their respective positions and countries," he added.
