2-day ‘National Gombhira Festival 2016’ ends

Cultural organisation ‘Diyar’ organised a two-day ‘National Gombhira Festival 2016’ for the first time which ended yesterday at the Bakultala, Charukala, Dhaka University.
Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor inaugurated the two-day festival  on Friday at the premises of Charukala, while theatre personality Momtaz Uddin Ahmed, artist Rafiqun Nabi, artist Hasem Khan, Golam Mostafa were also present at the inaugural ceremony.
After the inaugural ceremony, five Gombhira troupe-  Mahbub-Mani’s troupe of Chapai Gombhira, Razzak-Hirok’s Nawab  Gombhira troupe, child artistes Ayon-Mim’s Mohananda Shishu Gombhira troupe, Khabir-Saidur’s Folk Gombhira troupe and Sirajul-Hasem’s Surjadiganta Gombhira troupe  presented gombhira dance on the opening day, Friday.
On the closing day, yesterday, other five gombhira troupes- Kollol-Sumon’s Adi Gombhira troupe, Shahjamal-Monir’s Raskas Gombhira troupe, Shish Mohammad-Sitesh’s Chapai Nakshi Gombhira troupe, Ismat-Sabina’s Provati Gombhira troupe and Jahangir-Azim’s Proyash Folk Theatre presented their gombhira performances. Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu was present as chief guest on the closing day, yesterday.
