Sirajganj: Speakers at a workshop here yesterday stressed the need for providing the people with information to build knowledge-based Digital Bangladesh, reports UNB.
They said the government is committed to building a knowledge-based modern society by providing information to people they need.
Trinomuler Tathyajanala Programme of ICT Division and Tathyaseba Barta Sangstha (TSB) jointly organised the workshop at DC’s conference room in the town.
The entrepreneurs of the Union Digital Centres (UDCs) of the district participated in the workshop, arranged to build their capacity on writing reports and news features, and outsourcing and e-commerce.
At the function, Project Director of A2I of the Prime Minister’s Office Kabir Bin Anwar in a teleconference said the UDC entrepreneurs could play an important role in enriching rural people by disseminating information to people.
Chaired by Programme Director of Trinomuler Tathyajanala Dr Mohammad Mehedi Hasan, the programme was also addressed by Additional Deputy Commissioner of Sirajganj Shamim Alam.
