Khaleda misleading people, says Hanif

Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbub-ul Alam Hanif yesterday said BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is misleading people by giving a formula to constitute a 'search committee' for formation of Election Commission (EC), reports BSS.
"President will appoint election commissioners in due time as per the Constitution. BNP chairperson should not create controversy over the issue," he told a conference of Bangabandhu Shikkha O Gobeshona Parishad (BSGP) at the Dhaka University Business Studies Faculty auditorium in the capital.Hanif said Begum Zia is now calling for constituting all-party government but she forgot that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had given proposal to form all-party government.
"At that time, you (Khaleda) did not respond to the call for forming all-party government. 
You repeatedly rejected our proposals," the Awami League leader said.
Hanif posed a question why Begum Zia is giving the proposal after three years. "You (Khaleda) always give misleading proposal," he said.
Awami League Office Secretary Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap, Dhaka City South Awami League General Secretary Shahe Alam Murad and Dhaka City North Awami League General Secretary Sadeq Khan addressed the function with BSGP President Professor Tofazzal Islam in the chair.
