In our era, no information ever remains hidden for too long, as such anime fans all over the world have a good idea about the outcome and release of an anime months prior to their official airing. And so, months prior to the release of Assassination Classroom people had already started talking about it and put their hopes on it. But many a times fans can overhype about an anime and at times bring its reputation down but, Assassination Classroom didn’t have to meet that end as it broke through all other anime and captured people’s hearts right from the word go.
The story is about the E-Class (End Class) of Kunugigaoka Junior High School, a class filled with failures and delinquents who seem to have no hope of a better future. But, they are given one opportunity at a better future with one simple task. And that is to assassinate their new teacher who happens to be some weird octopus-like creature which destroyed 70 per cent of the moon and threatens to destroy the earth as well by the next year. But, the job is next to impossible for the students as their new teacher can move at a speed of Mach 20 and what’s more is the fact that he is the best teacher they ever had. Thus begins the journey of E-Class in their quest to assassinate their teacher and also get out of the E-Class.
The main factor behind this anime being so popular is mostly its simple nature combined with a good comedy and some really heartfelt moments. There is ample character development to go with some very tense situations. What makes this anime worthwhile is the fact that it will always entertain you no matter what. The opening song is very catchy and the ending song is quite melodious and touchy and, adding to that, some really warm and heartfelt moments at the end of each episode and you have one anime you must watch.
