‘No democratic country has transparent EC like Bangladesh’

Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam yesterday said no other democratic country has example of constituting as strong Election Commission as Bangladesh, UNB reports. 
"In 2012, late President Zillur Rahman had formed a search committee taking consents of all political party after discussion. As per the recommendation of the search committee, this election commission has been constituted," he told newsmen emerging from a view-exchange with party leaders and workers at his own residence in Kushtia on PTI Road yesterday.
