The low formed on Monday in the south east Bay of Bengal has turned into a well marked low and remained there without further movement yesterday.
But it may turn into a depression by the afternoon of Wednesday, a Met Office source said yesterday on the well marked low movement.
A depression graduates into a deep depression, a step before the cyclonic storm.
The source said they are watching its developments as it may also peter out before turning into a cyclonic storm.
Either way, the convulsions in the Bay has pumped in moistures into the air blowing from the sea forming stray clouds leading to a little warm temperature like 28.5 degrees Celsius maximum temperature and 18.8 C minimum temperature over the Dhaka city yesterday.
The situation may generate some rains in the south- eastern coast and to the northern region of Bangladesh, meteorologists observing the situation remarked.
