The holy Akheri Chahar Shamba will be observed across the country today, 29th of Safar, marking the recovery of Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (SM) from prolonged illness.
Meanwhile, The National Moon Sighting Committee will meet on Wednesday to decide the date of Eid-e-Miladunnabi, commemorating the day of birth and demise of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SM).
The meeting will be held at the Islamic Foundation’s Baitul Mukarram conference room, said a PID handout on Tuesday.
The meeting will announce the date of Eid-e-Miladunnabi after reviewing information on the sighting of the Rabiul Awal moon.
Religious Affairs Minister and Chairman of the moon sighting committee Motiur Rahman will preside over the meeting.
People have been urged to inform the committee over the following phone and fax numbers if they see the moon of Rabiul Awal anywhere in the Bangladesh sky.
