Bangladesh, Hungary sign 3 MoUs

Bangladesh and Hungary yesterday signed three Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) in the fields of political consultations, water management and agriculture, reports UNB.
Water Resources Minister Anisul Islam Mahmud and Hungarian Minister of Interior Sandor Pinter signed a MoU on cooperation in the field of water management while Foreign Secretary Md Shahidul Haque and Hungarian Minister of State in charge of Economic Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade Levente Magyar signed another MoU on the establishment of bilateral consultation between Foreign Affairs Ministry of Bangladesh and Hungary.  The MoU on cooperation in the field of agriculture was signed by Agriculture Secretary Mohammad Moinuddin Abdullah and Minister of State of the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture Zsolt Nemeth.
Those are MoU between the Foreign Ministries of Hungary and Bangladesh; MoU on Cooperation in the Field of Water Management between the two governments; MoU on Cooperation in the field of Agriculture between the two countries.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her Hungarian counterpart Victor Orban witnessed the signing at a ceremony that took place at Kossuth Square. Earlier, both the Prime Ministers held bilateral talks. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also paid rich tributes to the national heroes of Hungary at 'Heroes Square' here in City Park.
While paying homage, Sheikh Hasina stood there in solemn silence for some time as a mark of respect to the national heroes who died for establishing their motherland.
Hasina also placed wreaths and paid tributes to the heroes who died for establishing the statehood of Hungary. The Prime Minister arrived in Hungary on Sunday on a four-day official tour, which was the first-ever highest level visit to Hungary by any Bangladeshi leader.
