Man kills son in Patuakhali

A man allegedly killed his son in Golachipa upazila of the district yesterday. 

Family members said Lavlu Mridha, 46, picked up a quarrel with his wife Shamsunnahar Begum at about 5 am following a family feud. 
At one stage Lablu hit his son Hasib Mridha, 13, a Junior School Certificate examinee from Golachipa Secondary School, in the head with a hammer while he was sleeping. 
Hearing hue and cry local people rushed to the spot and took Hasib to Golachipa upazila health complex where on-duty doctor declared him dead. Later, local people caught Lablu and handed him over to police.
