Capital market expo begins Thursday

A three day-long ‘Bangladesh Capital Market Expo-2016’ is going to be held at the Institution of Diploma Engineers Bangladesh (IDEB) to create awareness among the prospective investors 

and branding the country’s capital market as well. 
Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed will inaugurate the capital market promotional event at 10 am on Thursday (1 December) as the chief guest while the chairman of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) Dr M Khairul Hossain will be present as special guest. 
"The main objective of the fair is to create awareness among the prospective investors and branding the country's capital market as many investors 
}have no clear idea about the capital market," said Ziaur Rahman, editor of Arthosuchak, the country's first news portal on business and economy, at a press briefing held at Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) in Dhaka yesterdat.
The unique expo will have a total of 44 stalls including Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) and Central Depository Bangladesh Limited (CDBL). The Expo will remain open from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm every day. The interested persons and potential visitors can enter the expo without any fee. The visitors will get lottery coupon with free entry ticket. 
The organiser will also arrange a rally on 30 November from DSE Building to National Press Club to mark the expo.
“Most of the people do not have clear concept about capital market and they do not get information about the capital market from reliable sources. 
We hope this fair will help get right information for the general investors,” said the organisers.
