Man gets life for killing wife

MEHERPUR: A court yesterday sentenced a man to life term imprisonment for killing his wife at Maheskhola village under Gangni upazila of the district in 2013, reports BSS. The court also fined the convict identified as Fazlur Rahman, son of Abdus Sattar, resident of the same area, Tk one lakh. District and Sessions Judge M Rabiul Hasan pronounced the verdict. According to the prosecution, Fazlur strangled his wife Sabina Khatun to death on June 30, 2013 as she protested her husband’s extra-marital affairs.
