Two-day workshop on daylight modeling
The Green Architecture Cell (GrACe) of Department of Architecture (DoA), Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) organised a two-day workshop on Daylight modeling: Climate Based Daylight Modelling for Sustainable Building Design in Bangladesh’ at Computer Lab, Architecture Department BUET on Thursday, says a press release. 
Different professional groups -- architects, designers, engineers, researchers and academicians actively participated in the event. The workshop was part of on-going activities of the Green Architecture Cell (GrACe), DoA, BUET which started its journey in June 2009, as a research outcome of a project on Promoting Green Architecture in Bangladesh, conducted by the DoA, BUET, and GIZ of Germany. 
Certificates for completion of the workshop were awarded by the workshop instructor Dr Md Ashikur Rahman Joarder, Associate Professor, Environment and Energy Division, and the Co-ordinator of GrACe, DoA, BUET. The Certificates conferring 10 Hours Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Credits for the participants.

9th governing board meeting of SAU today
The 9th Governing Board Meeting of South Asian University (SAU) under the auspices of University Grants Commission of Bangladesh will be held in Dhaka, today, says a press release. 
Prof Parashar Prasad Koirala, chairperson, Governing Board, SAU and Chairman, UGC, Nepal, will chair the meeting. Prof Abdul Mannan, chairman, UGC will attend the meeting as a Member of Governing Board, SAU.
All the Members of the Governing Board, SAU including Dr Kavita A Sharma, president, SAU, Prof Baray Seddiqi, deputy minister, Ministry of Higher Education, Afghanistan, Professor Ved Prakash, Chairman, UGC, India, Dr. Abdulla Nazeer, Minister of State for Education, Ministry of Education, Maldives and Dr. Mohammed Latheef, Chancellor, The Maldives National University, Maldives will attend the meeting.  It may be mentioned here that South Asian University is an international university established by the governments of the eight-member countries- Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka of the South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation (SAARC). SAU started its activities from the year 2010. The university currently functions from New Delhi, India. 

Art exhibition held at BAU
A day-long art exhibition was held at the open platform of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) campus on Friday.
Canvas, an organisation of fancy young artists of BAU, organised the exhibition that was opened for visitors till 8pm. A total 75 painting and calligraphy pieces of 25 young artists of BAU were displayed in the exhibition. The paintings displayed in the exhibition highlighted the history, love, culture, poets, imagination, youth and traditions of the nation.  Regarding the exhibition a musical concert was also held at evening by the artists.
