7 more days given for probe report

The date for submitting the report of investigation into raising fund for promotion in Barisal Metropolitan Police (BMP) has been extended by seven days.
Abu Saleh Md Raihan, deputy commissioner (traffic) of BMP, said the five-member probe committee of BMP, led by him, that had been formed on July 3, was first given three days’ time to submit its report. Raihan received the latter on July 6 after joining from leave. As per the earlier schedule, the report submission date was Wednesday. “However, we applied to the BMP authorities today for extending the date as investigation work needs seven more days,” he said.
