Young man gunned down in Jessore

A young man was gunned down by miscreants in Barandi Kadamtola area of the district town yesterday evening, reports UNB. The deceased was identified as Suman Biswas, 20, son of Hanif Biswas, resident of the area. Sheikh Ilius Hossain, officer-in-charge of Kotowali Police Station, said two miscreants riding on a motorbike opened fire on Suman while he was standing with his friend in front of a local mosque in the area around 6.30pm, leaving him dead on the spot. On information police recovered the body and sent it to Jessore 250-bed hospital for an autopsy. However, the reason behind the murder could not be known immediately.
