Youth stabbed to death

A young man was stabbed to death at Mymensingh Homeopathy Medical College near Trishal Bus Stand of the district town on Friday night.
The deceased was identified as Mehedul Hasan Robin, 22, son of Mustafa Kamal of Churkhai Jamtola area of the district town.
Officer-in-charge of Kotwali Model Police Station Kamrul Islam said a gang of criminals stabbed Robin inside the college around 9pm and fled the scene, leaving him seriously injured.
Later, local people sent the injured to Mymensingh Medical Hospital and College where doctors declared him dead.
Police detained two persons including Jibon, a friend of Robin, for his alleged involvement with the killing.
Quoting Robin’s mother Khodeja Khatun police said Jibon called Robin out of his house over cell phone around 9.00pm.
Victim’s mother filed a case with Kotwali Police Station yesterday afternoon.
