The South Asia Regional Public Procurement Network (SAPPN), with Asian Develop-ment Bank, The World Bank, and Procurement iNET, has launched South Asia Procure-ment Innovation Awards 2016-17, reports UNB.
The key objective of the awards is to enhance learning and knowledge sharing from innovative approaches adopted by procurement entities and systems across the region.
Case stories under any of five categories by December 31, 2016 are invited from government and public sector procurement organizations, entities, universities, research institutions, NGOs/CBOs.
The categories of the awards are market interactions and contributions leading to innovative procurement solutions; use of ICT for procurement management and useful management information; performance-focused procurement reforms and capacity development; innovative procurement and contract management solutions for challenging and fragile environments; citizen engagement in procurement management and oversight.
