N’ganj bar polls: Dipu president, Polu GS

Awami League-backed Sammilita Ainjibi Parishad secured nine posts, including the posts of president and general secretary, in Narayanganj District Bar Association polls held in Narayanganj on Thursday, reports BSS.
On the other hand, BNP-backed Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Oikya Parishad won eight posts, including the post of joint general secretary, in the polls.
Out of 867 voters, 853 lawyers cast their votes in the annual election held from 10 am to 4 pm.
The elected office-bearers of AL-backed panel are: Advocate Anisur Rahman Shiplu- president, Advocate Habib Al Mujahid Palu - general secretary, Advocate Alauddin Ahmed - senior vice-president, Advocate Delwara Begum Rina- vice-president, Advocate Sohel Mian- treasurer, Advocate Mahmudul Haq Mamin - sports secretary, Advocate Nazrul Islam - social welfare secretary, Advocate Sazzadul Huq Sumon- member, and Advocate Swapan Bhuiyan - member.
