The second 'National Judicial Conference - 2016' will be held in the capital on December 24-25.
Talking to BSS, High Court Division Additional Registrar M Sabbir Fayez said various issues relating to problems and prospects of the judiciary, including its digitalisation, establishing effective court administration and ways for quick disposal of cases will be discussed in the two-day conference.
The conference will begin at 8:30 am on December 24 at Bangabandhu International Conference Centres.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has consented to attend the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest, Sabbir Fayez said and added that Indian Chief Justice is scheduled to attend the programme as the special guest.
To be presided over by Chief Justice of Bangladesh Surendra Kumar Sinha, the first-day judicial conference will be joined by the judges of the appellate and the high court divisions and judicial officials of lower courts of all levels.
Besides, ministers and secretaries of ministries and divisions related to judiciary will be present as the invited guests.
