KOICA alumni night celebrated
Korea International Cooperation Agency (Koica) and its Bangladesh Alumni Association (KBAA) celebrated KOICA Bangladesh Alumni Night 2016 at a hotel in the capital on Thursday to strengthen relations between Bangladesh and Korea, says a press release.
State Minister of ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak, was the chief guest while Md Nojibur Rahman, Chairman, National Board of Revenue, was special guest. Ahn Seong-doo, ambassador of Korea to Bangladesh, Joe Hyun-Gue, Country Director, KOICA Bangladesh Office, Monzur Hossain, President of KBAA and Chairman, Rupali Bank Limited, attended the event.
Appreciating KOICAs contribution to the different fields of development, Palak hoped the KOICA will extend its cooperation to supplement efforts of the government for building Digital Bangladesh-2021.
Referring to the growing relationship between Korea and Bangladesh, Ahn Seong-doo said KBAA night is acting as a platform to help uphold a close partnership between the countries. He said KBAA members are the representatives of both Bangladesh and Korea helps to maintain the bilateral relationship for sharing knowledge, he said adding that the total member of KOICA Alumni reached more than 2,000 till date.
The event featured Koreas renowned K-Pop dance performance, a Bengali folk song by the KBAA members and a presentation on KOICAs capacity improvement and advancement for tomorrow programme titled Multi-year Competency Enhancement of Diagnosis and Treatment of ASD for Child.
