Four people were killed and six others injured in separate accidents yesterday. Our Jessore correspondent says: Two people were killed and three others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a human hauler at Sutighata on Jessore-Manirampur road in Sadar upazila yesterday morning.
The deceased were identified as Rabiul Islam, 35, and Azizul Islam, 32, both are inhabitants of Brammondanga village of Monirampur upazila.
The accident took place when a speeding bus of ‘Eagle Paribahan’ collided with a human hauler coming from the opposite direction around 7am, leaving two people dead on the spot and three others injured, said Officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station Ilias Hossain quoting witnesses.
On information, police and fire fighters came to the spot and sent the injured to Jessore 250-bed General Hospital, the OC added. Our Mymensingh correspondent adds: Two persons were killed and three others injured as a CNG-run autorickshaw collided head-on with a private car at Banshati in Phulpur upazila yesterday evening. The deceased were identified as Kamrun Nahar, 30, a passenger of the autorickshaw and its driver Abdur Razzaq, 35, both hailed from Phulpur upazila. The injured persons were admitted at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
