Dance drama Peacock of Winter premieres in Kunming

Peacock of Winter, a dance drama written and directed by China’s most famous dancer, Yang Liping, recently premiered in Kunming.

Yang Liping completed this independent dance drama on the basis of her previous work The Peacock, a dance drama in four part: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. Peacock of Winter is a reflection of the artist’s thinking on life’s journey and true meaning, especially focusing on the end of life and rebirth. The dance drama adopts white, blue and red as its main tones to depict the winter of life.
