Three members of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) surrendered to Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal at a programme in Rangpur yesterday.
The trio was identified as Hafez Mohammad Masud Rana, 18, of Loharbando village, Hafizur Rahman, 16, of Dinnagari village and Akhtaruzzaman, 18, of Joyrampur village under Ghoraghat upazila of Dinajpur district, according to a release issued by elite crime busting unit Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), who organised the programme.
After surrender, they confessed that they were involved in the militant attack on an Eid jamaat at Sholakia in July. Later they received Tk five lakh each for their surrender.
