Chief of Army Staff General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq has said that Bangladesh Army has received appreciation from the world for its role to combat militancy in the country.
He said this while speaking at a reception for the Gallantry Award holder freedom fighters of Bangladesh Army and Air Force and their successors marking the Armed Forces Day-2016 yesterday.
“The Bangladesh Army is co-operating the government to curb militancy and the army also achieved success,” he said.
Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq exchanged greetings and handed over souvenirs to 37 gallantry award holder freedom fighters of Bangladesh Army that includes three Birsreshtho, five Biruttam, seven Birbikrom and 22 Birprotik or their successors at Shenamalancha in Dhaka Cantonment.
