The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) sought an answer from Barisal Bulls as to why they allowed its former co-owner Rizwan Bin Farooq to sit with the team during its game against Rangpur Riders on Thursday at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.
Rizwan was imposed with life ban due to breaking the disciplinary rules set by the BCB.
The BCB clearly said he wouldn’t be allowed any kind of activities under the board’s jurisdiction but he was seen wearing Bulls jersey and enjoying the game.
Asked how he entered the stadium premises, BCB disciplinary committee chairman AJM Nasir Uddin said, they are also surprised as to how he dared to do this.
“The franchise has to take the responsibility. We have already sent a mail to the Barisal Bulls asking as to how he entered the stadium despite his life ban. After their answer, we’ll take the action,” he said.
“We have zero tolerance on disciplinary issue, you know. So we are taking the matter seriously.”
Even it surprised all that Rizwan has been staying with team at Hotel Radisson in the port city.
