RANGPUR: Rangpur City Corporation (RCC) has been awarded for registering maximum number of the newly born babies within 45 days of their birth in the city and uploading the information on its website, reports BSS.
The Birth and Death Registration Project of the Local Government Division under the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives has awarded the RCC authority at a ceremony held at Dhaka on Friday last, a press release said here yesterday. Head of the Birth and Death Registration Department of RCC Aniza Hassan received the award with a certificate from Project Director of the Birth and Death Registration Project of the Local Government Division Sirajul Islam. The RCC authority got the award among the country’s best 10 Birth and Death Registration Centres for registering maximum number of newly born babies within 45 days of their birth for the third consecutive time this year.
