Man ‘commit suicide’

A software engineer allegedly committed suicide yesterday night in the capital’s Mohammadpur area.

The victim was identified as Mehedi Hasan, a resident of house no 14/5 of Bachhila Uttarpara.
Sub Inspector Sumit Kumar Saha of Mohammadpur Police Station recovered the body on Sunday morning.
Mehedi, hailing from Sundharganj Upazila in Gaibandha district, was staying in the rented house with his wife Israt Jahan.
According to the family sources, on March this year, he married to Ishrat without family consent.  
Inspector Mir Jamal Uddin, officer-in-charge of Mohammadpur Police Station told The Independent that they were primarily suspecting that due to family disputes, he committed suicide hanging him with the ceiling fan.
The body was sent to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy and after getting the report, the actual reason could be known, the officer-in-charge (OC) added.
