The High Court has fixed Wednesday (today) for delivering its verdict on the petition against the decision of the Dhaka University (DU) authority not to allow students to sit for the university’s admission test for the second time, reports UNB.
An HC bench comprising Justice Farah Mahbub and Justice Kazi M Ejarul Haque Akanda fixed the date after a hearing on the petition on Tuesday.
Earlier on October,14, 2014, the Dhaka University authorities decided to allow only freshly passed HSC students to appear at its admission tests in a single year from the 2015-16 academic session, aiming to create an equal opportunity for all the aspirants.
A total of 16 guardians, including Minara Begum, filed the writ petition with the High Court earlier in the day challenging the legality of the decision.
