Twenty-five Bangladeshis who had got stranded at Herat province in Afghanistan after going there illegally returned home yesterday, reports UNB. The Bangladeshi nationals went to the country illegally to get job in a factory which was shut after 2-3 months. Later, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs took a move to bring them back to the country with the help of International Organisation for Migration (IOM), said a PID handout. It said the Afghan government exempted them from paying fines for overstaying there after the expiry of their visas. The authorities concerned at Heart provided food and shelter to the Bangladeshis following a request from the Bangladesh Foreign Ministry.
