Shariatpur: A mobile court yesterday sealed off a vermicelli factory in Naria upazila for manufacturing the item in an unhygienic atmosphere, reports UNB.
During the drive, the mobile court also fined the factory owner Tk 50,000 and destroyed some 30 maunds of vermicelli.
The mobile court, led by executive magistrate Zinia Zinnat, conducted the drive at ‘Madhu Foods Product’ in Bhajeswar area and found that the factory was producing and marketing unapproved vermicelli. Later, the mobile court fined the factory owner Madhusudan Pual Tk 50,000, in default, to suffer three months in prison.
The court also damaged 30 maunds of vermicelli.
