New BGB chief assumes office

Major General Abul Hossain, the newly appointed Director General of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), assumed office yesterday. 

Senior BGB officials and staff extended the new DG a warm welcome when he went to the force’s Pilkhana headquarters, read a press release. 
The government appointed him the new BGB DG replacing Maj Gen Aziz Ahmed. In his previous assignment, Hossain had been serving as the military secretary to the president.
