Two commit suicide for defaulting loans

Two persons allegedly committed suicide yesterday for failing to pay loan in Delduwar upazila of the district. They are identified as Ananda Rajbonshi, 50, of Jelepara and Nikson, 45, of Sobarnatuli village in Delduwar upazila.
Local people said Ananda Rajbonshi took loan from some money lenders at high interest rate. He used to repay the interest every month.  But this time, he failed to pay the interest amount to the lenders. One of the money lenders came to his house yesterday and put pressure to repay the money. He rebuked Ananda for failing to on repayment. Being insulted Ananda committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling of his room yesterday early in the morning. On the other hand, Nikson, who had taken loan from lenders, also committed suicide for defaulting on repayment, family sources said.
Officer-in-Charge of Delduwar police station Mosarraf Hossain said he has heard about the incidents and visited the spots.
