Resurgent Barisal Bulls will lock horns with Rangpur Riders in the second match of the Chittagong phase at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium (ZACS) at 5:45pm today.

BPL governing council changed the timings of all the matches due to the biting cold across Chittagong region. As per the new timings, the first match will be played at 1:00pm and second match will start at 5:45pm but in case of Friday’s match it will start at 1.30pm and 6:15pm for the second match.
Both the teams did their pre-match day practice sessions for the few hours at the ZACS in afternoon session. This was Rangpur Riders second day practice at this ground but Barisal’s first training session as they arrived here on Tuesday after playing their last Dhaka phase match against Rajshahi Kings.
Bulls finished second with six points but Riders fourth with four points though the latter played one match less than Bulls. After Bulls’ practice session, opener Shahriar Nafees said that they seek to move ahead match by match to maintain their previous stage performance.
“The way we played the last three matches we want to start in such manner in Chittagong also because every match is important. If we could make a good start against Rangpur  we will have then two more matches here,” said Shahriar Nafees.
“We want to go ahead match by match and fare well in each match in this chapter. Everybody in our team want to perform for the team. So, we want to do that for the team in Chittagong,” Nafees told reporters.
Citing the next opponent of Rangpur as stronger side, the national discard said that they have to perform better to beat them in the field.
“Rangpur are a stronger side and are also in good form. Their bowlers are doing well by better bowling performance. On the other hand, our batsmen are doing well. Bowlers are also in form. Hopefully it will be a good match,” he said, adding “In T20, those teams will perform well in particular day they will finally be winners. We are confident. We will try to give our best performance in the field to be victorious.”
Asked about wickets in Chittagong, the left-handed opener said that batsmen will get advantage from the surface more than bowlers.
