Star-studded Dhaka Dynamites seek to maintain its current momentum in Chittagong phase what they did in the first phase of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T20 Tournament in the capital.

Both team manager and vice captain of the Dynamites voiced the same string in Chittagong after the conclusion of their first practice session at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium (ZACS), where they will face-off Chittagong Vikings in the opener of the Chittagong phase at 1,30pm today.
Dynamites vice-captain Nasir Hossain said that their major target in Chittagong is to restore the top position.
“We are now on pole position on the points table. Here we want to restore this place in Chittagong and that’s our main target,” said Nasir Hossain.
National discard Nasir was retained for the second times by Dhaka Dynamites, whose strong batting and bowling line-up was formed with the qualify players of local and foreign stashes that included veteran Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardene, Andre Russell, Dwayne Bravo alongside Shakib Al Hasan, Nasir Hossain, Mosaddek Hossain, Mehedi Maruf, Mohammad Shohid.
Of them, Andre Russell and Dwayne Bravo were not appeared in the training session. But it was known from the team manager Khaled Mahmud Sujon that Russell went back to Jamaica due to his serious injury. And Bravo also sustained injury but that is nothing serious.
Sujon thinks that will not bear any impact on team’s performance. Dhaka this time formed a team with the blend of the much experienced and young talented local and foreign players learning the lesson from the last year’s mistakes.
They flexed their batting muscle in such emphatic ways in their last two matches following the upset defeat by Rajshahi Kings. he believes that the application in match is crucial here.
“The execution in field is more important whatever we formed the better side or well-balanced team,” Khaled Mahmud said.
Nasir Hossain on the other hand, said that the way they played the last two matches and won in such emphatic way that proved their credentials  of the star-studded team’s tag. Now they look forward to continuing their performance match by match whatever their opponent is.
“We don’t see the matter in that way that we will play against the home team. We see it a match that will be played against Chittagong Vikings,” Nasir said, adding “We have better preparation for all the matches of the Chittagong phase. I can’t tell you the secret of our game plan at this moment.”
The 29-year-old all-rounder normally bat at lower order but he was promoted to top-order that he enjoys much.
“I feel well to bat at this new batting position. Better feeling will be felt if you are in the runs. It will be the same thing if I bat at No 11. In last three matches, I batted at No 3 position and got also runs. This is the right thing for me,” Nasir said.
“Actually every match is important. I have nothing to prove nor I am not an amateur player that I have to prove myself. My duty is to make runs and win the match for the team. I always try to do this thing,” he told the media.
On the other hand, Anamul Haque Bijoy said that they will try their best efforts to come back in Chittagong phase.
“We have done some mistakes. We were also a bit unlucky. Overall, we  have not been played well in our last three matches. We’ll try to fare well in Chittagong,” said Anamul Haque.
“We have four matches here in Chittagong. We still have chances to go into the next round. if we could win three of the four matches then our momentum may be rolled in our favour. We all expect a good comeback from here,” Bijoy told media after their pre-match day practice at ZACS.
